We serve seasonal Contemporary American cuisine rooted in Vermont and New England ingredients. Executive Chef Peter Robinson and his team work with regional farmers, producers and artisans to create thoughtfully composed dishes that reflect the seasons.

Yes. We host destination weddings, intimate weddings, micro weddings and elopements, with indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces, lodging, dining and full-service event support. Our wedding celebrations can range from intimate gatherings to larger events of up to approximately 200 guests, depending on the setting.

We offer 14 guest rooms and suites across our Historic Inn Rooms, Coldbrook Rooms and Carriage House. Rooms feature thoughtful amenities such as Frette linens, plush robes and slippers, Nespresso coffee makers and premium bath amenities. All rooms also feature gas fireplaces.

Yes. During the warmer months, we offer seasonal outdoor dining on the Orchard Terrace and Pavilion, surrounded by the Inn's gardens and Southern Vermont mountain landscape. Live music is also offered on select summer evenings.

No. The Tavern and Birches Dining Room serve the same seasonal menu. The difference is the atmosphere: Birches offers a more elegant setting, while the Tavern provides a casual and more relaxed dining experience.

Our historic wine cellar houses thousands of bottles from acclaimed producers and regions around the world. The Hermitage Inn has been a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence recipient from 2022 through 2026, and we host wine dinners, tastings and special wine events throughout the year.

Yes. We host executive retreats, company off-sites, leadership meetings, client gatherings, milestone celebrations and private events. We can combine meeting and dining spaces, accommodations, private dinners and year-round experiences into a customized multi-day gathering.

Yes. With 14 guest rooms and suites, The Hermitage Inn allows couples and their guests to stay on property and create a complete Vermont wedding weekend with welcome gatherings, rehearsal dinners, the wedding celebration and farewell brunch.

Yes. Carriage House rooms may be reserved individually, or the entire four-room Carriage House may be booked exclusively when available. It is an excellent option for families, couples traveling together and small groups seeking additional privacy.

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Earlier arrivals or later departures may be available upon request.

During winter, our Evergreen Lounge offers fireside après-ski drinks, light fare and relaxed evenings. We also offer private heated gondola dining featuring an Alpine-inspired prix fixe menu.

We highly recommend reservations because seating is limited, particularly during weekends, holidays and ski season. Reservations may be made through OpenTable or by calling us at 802-618-0051.

Our 112-acre property includes a trout pond, orchards, gardens, a covered bridge and scenic trails throughout the Vermont landscape. Seasonal activities may include archery, catch-and-release fly fishing in our trout pond, hiking, snowshoeing and electric bike rentals, depending on weather and time of year.

Guests may also enjoy private wine tastings, spa services and a variety of seasonal programming and experiences throughout the year.

Yes. We offer several distinctive private dining settings, including our historic Wine Cellar, intimate Library and Private Dining Room. These spaces are ideal for celebrations, rehearsal dinners, family gatherings, wine dinners and other special occasions.

Yes. Full-property buyouts are available for weddings, corporate retreats and milestone celebrations. We can create customized options based on the size and needs of your group.

Breakfast is available to overnight guests. Whether it is included depends on the room package or seasonal offer you reserve.

Yes. The Tavern Bar offers handcrafted cocktails, beer, wine and dining at the bar. During winter, the Evergreen Lounge provides an additional fireside setting for cocktails, wine, light fare and après-ski gatherings.

Yes. Families are welcome at The Hermitage Inn, although some seasonal dining and lounge experiences are designed primarily for adults.

We do not currently allow pets, with the exception of service animals.

Our check-in desk is located in the Coldbrook Wing. When walking toward the restaurant, take the first right along the walkway.

Our location offers access to four-season activities throughout the Mount Snow and Southern Vermont area. Depending on the season, guests can enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, tubing, hiking, fly fishing, golf, biking, pickleball, padel, swimming, boating and other lake activities, along with wine dinners and seasonal experiences at the Inn.

We do not have a swimming pool on property. During the summer, our guests may use the outdoor pool at The Brook Bound Inn, located just across the road, through our partnership for a daily fee. The Hermitage Inn also has two outdoor hot tubs, including one near the Brookside Den and another at the Carriage House.

Yes. We provide complimentary on-site parking for our guests.

Yes. Gift cards are available online or at the Inn and may be used for lodging, dining and select experiences.
