The Inn is located at 25 Handle Road, West Dover, VT 05356.

It sits on 112 acres in the foothills of the Green Mountains / at the base of Haystack Mountain (near Mount Snow ski area).

The Inn has about 14 guest rooms/suites spread over historic inn rooms, “Coldbrook Rooms,” and a “Carriage House.”

Rooms are furnished in a boutique-style: you’ll find plush linens, bathrobes, Nespresso coffee makers, premium toiletries — “mountain-elegance” comfort rather than rustic basics.

There's a full restaurant offering seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients.

Also available: a Tavern (for more casual dining or cocktails), an orchard terrace (outdoor dining in good weather), and a wine cellar for private dinners or tastings.

Their culinary program is emphasized heavily, blending regional New England produce and a refined “mountain-elegance” vibe.

The property spans 112 acres and includes natural features like a trout pond, apple orchards, private gardens, a covered bridge, as well as hiking and cross-country ski trails.

Depending on the season: guests can ski nearby, hike, enjoy the grounds, and also use the Inn’s offering of food, wine, and cozy indoor amenities.

Yes — The Hermitage Inn doubles as an event/wedding venue. They offer ceremony sites, reception spaces, and full-service planning (including catering, decor, etc.).

They cater to both intimate / micro-weddings and larger gatherings (capacity listed up to around 200, depending on event type).

The building dates back to the early 1800s (originally built as a summer retreat). 

The current owners (as of 2021) purchased and underwent a full renovation, transforming the Inn, grounds, and dining facilities into a “luxury country resort / 5-star guest experience.”

They cater to both intimate / micro-weddings and larger gatherings (capacity listed up to around 200, depending on event type).

Yes. The Tavern Bar features craft cocktails, local beers,  a curated wine list an the option of dining at the bar.

The separate adults only Lounge offers a Bar Menu in addition to hand crafted cocktail, local beers and extensive wine list.

At this time, the Inn does not allow pets, except for service animals.
